ITALIADen kooperative bevegelsen går tilbake til det 19. århundre med grunnleggelsen av FTC i 1895. Regionen er anerkjent som et betydelig kooperativt distrikt globalt. Trentos sosiale politikk er i tråd med arbeidspolitikken og involverer forskjellige interessenter, inkludert sosiale kooperativer, frivillige organisasjoner og arbeidsgiverforeninger. Regionen vedtok en lov om samfunnskooperativer i 2022 for å bekjempe avfolkning i fjellområder og forbedre tilgangen til tjenester. En institusjonell samarbeidsavtale mellom FTC og PAT tar sikte på å forbedre den kooperative modellen og oppdatere forskrifter for arbeidspolitikk. COPE-prosjektet, finansiert av EaSI, fokuserer på å etablere samfunnslaboratorier for sosial økonomi, med mål om å inkludere unge NEETs i sosial og arbeidsinkludering. Disse laboratoriene legger til rette for selvstendig næringsdrivende og samarbeid med lokale knutepunkter og forretningsinkubatorer. I tillegg tilbyr tjenestekooperativer i Trentino turistrelaterte tjenester for personer med funksjonshemninger og redusert mobilitet for å forbedre inkludering i turistsektoren. Velferdsplattformen InCooperazione blir foreslått som et innovativt digitalt verktøy for å støtte sårbare gruppers sosiale og arbeidsinkludering.
