UngarnDet er ingen felles juridisk ramme som støtter sosiale økonomi bedrifter i regionen, selv om flere juridiske former er regulert, og det er noen lønnssubsidier for arbeidsintegreringsforetak. Imidlertid avhenger spesifikk støtte mer av kommunenes fond og støtte. De viktigste initiativene som støtter sosialøkonomien i Ungarn inkluderer GINOP Supporting Social Enterprises (EU-finansiert), «PiacTárs» som støtter markeder og markedsinntreden for bedrifter (EU-finansiert), HRDOP-programmet som støtter arbeidsintegrerings sosiale foretak (EU-finansiert), Fokus-programmet som utvikler sosiale kooperativer basert i landlige kommuner (nasjonal fond), og flere andre private finansiører. Følgende temaer er prioritert: håndverksteder og lokal landbruk.
