Great participation and lively debate characterized the event ā3P4SSE: Dialogue and Strategies to Strengthen the Solidarity Economy,ā organized by the Federazione Trentina della Cooperazione in collaboration with the Autonomous Province of Trento, Trentino Social Tank, Consolida (social cooperative regional consortium), and the European Research Institute on Cooperative and Social Enterprises (EURICSE). The initiative, held on March 24 at the Auditorium of the Fondazione Famiglia Materna in Rovereto and on March 25 at the Sala Rossi of Palazzo a Prato in Pergine Valsugana, served as a key moment for presenting the results of the 3P4SSE project and discussing future prospects for the solidarity economy in Trentino.
āThis event represented an important opportunity to reflect on the state of the solidarity economy in Trentino and on strategies to strengthen it in the coming years,ā said Michele Tait, representative of the Secretariat of the Provincial Table for the Solidarity Economy. āDialogue between institutions, enterprises, and cooperatives is fundamental to building a model of sustainable and participatory development.ā
During the two-day discussions, experts, researchers, institutions, and representatives from the cooperative and business sectors analyzed regulatory developments, governance strategies, and development opportunities for Solidarity Economy Districts (DES). The goal was to identify concrete tools to strengthen collaboration between public and private actors.
As part of the event, representatives from the Federazione Trentina della Cooperazione and EURICSE also presented the ESIRA project alongside other ongoing initiatives in Trentino focused on the social and solidarity economy. The presentation took place within the framework of the Interreg Central Europe 3P4SSE project dissemination events. Several meeting participants are also members of the ESIRA Multi-Actor Platforms (MAPs) in Trentino, fostering an exchange of insights and reinforcing synergies between different initiatives in the region.
The delegation of the Federazione Trentina della Cooperazione and the Autonomous Province of Trento, as partner and lead partner in the 3P4SSE project, highlighted the initiativeās key outcomes, including training activities, district mapping, continuous monitoring of DESsā health status, and the analysis of effective governance models. Special attention was given to the territories of Vallagarina and Fiemme-Fassa, where the solidarity economy has developed unique dynamics and serves as a reference point for the sector.
The insights gained from the discussions and consultations will contribute to the development of a toolkit for establishing new Solidarity Economy Districts, which will be submitted to the Provincial Table for further consideration.
