On October 16-17th, a consortium of 15 partners from 8 countries gathered in Budapest, Hungary for the Second General Assembly of the ESIRA project.
The two-day event provided an opportunity for Work Package leaders to present progress reports. Detailed overviews of achievements from the past months were delivered, highlighting reached results and challenges encountered.
In addition to these progress reports, each partner presented updates on their rural areas. This included sharing specific projects that have been successfully implemented, with each region offering unique insights based on their local challenges and opportunities. These presentations provided a valuable chance to compare approaches, exchange ideas, and learn from one another’s experiences.

INSIGHTS AND FUTURE PLANS
Ongoing activities were outlined, and strategies for upcoming tasks were presented. This approach is critical for maintaining momentum as the project progresses towards long-term goals. Key discussions centered on enhancing collaboration among partners, improving local engagement in rural areas, and ensuring the sustainability of project outcomes.
The importance of tailoring solutions to local contexts was emphasized, ensuring that rural areas receive necessary support in today’s economy. From digital innovation to agriculture and community-based entrepreneurship, diverse approaches to rural development were underscored.

Plans for the next General Assembly, scheduled to take place in Norway in 2025, are already underway. Until then, partners will continue their work on rural areas, implementing local activities and preparing for the next phase of the project.
